We are pleased to share that the planning application for this project was approved by BCP Council (reference: P/25/03384/FUL).
We want to thank everyone for providing their feedback and showing their support during the consultation period.
The proposals have been designed to accommodate a multi-million-pound investment to regenerate the site, secure the long-term future of the unit, and deliver a high-quality, brand-defining store offering the very best of M&S Food in a convenient location.
This will bring the full M&S Food range of over 6,600 products, including fresh, seasonal produce sourced from M&S Select Farms and create over 30 new local jobs.
Long-term investment in Christchurch
The new M&S Foodhall at Christchurch Retail Park will secure Marks & Spencer's long-term presence in Christchurch. The new store will replace the existing town centre Foodhall, providing a larger, purpose-built store that enables M&S to invest in the town for years to come.
Inside the new show-stopping Foodhall, customers can look forward to fresh produce from M&S’ Select Farms, an in-store bakery & coffee counter serving barista-made drinks, everyday essentials from our Remarkable Value and Bigger Pack Better Value ranges, dedicated Flower and Wine shops – and popular M&S product ranges, including: Nutrient Dense, Plant Kitchen, Only… Ingredients and Eat Well.

C.15,000 sq ft (net sales floor area) fresh market-style foodhall offering the full M&S product range, perfect for the weekly shop.
Customer favourites, such as the M&S cheese barge, an in-store bakery, the award-winning wine selection and ranges such as Plant Kitchen and Free From.
In-store click and collect – enabling customers to collect online fashion, home & beauty purchases
Fresh produce sourced through M&S Select Farm Partners and local suppliers.
